Sarah Roosa joins EHS Laboratory Safety Team

EHS is excited to announce that Sarah Roosa joined the Laboratory Safety Teams as a Biosafety Industrial Hygienist II on Monday, August 3rd.  Her primary responsibility will be management of the Click system for Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Biomaterial Registration protocols as well as administration of the Institutional Biosafety Committee. Sarah will also serve as a central campus neighborhood safety manager.

Sarah joins us from the laboratory of Dr. Andrea Amalfitano where she gained extensive experience in molecular biology; animal research; high-throughput screening methods and biosafety level 2 laboratory management best practices. Sarah has also served as a member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee for 15 years and is currently serving as the Vice-Chair. Sarah’s strong research background and extensive experience evaluating recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid research protocols will be a valuable asset to EHS.
