To improve your training experience, we are streamlining the Bloodborne Pathogens training program by consolidating multiple courses into a single, comprehensive training. This update simplifies the process, ensures alignment with EHS guidelines, and enables faster updates, all with minimal disruption to most users.
Here’s what to expect: During the rollout, if it’s been more than 365 days since your last bloodborne pathogens training, you will need to complete the updated course right away. For those who have trained within the last year, you will receive a prompt to take the new course once your current completion record reaches the 365-day mark. After completing the new course, it will automatically expire in your training history after 365 days, prompting a reminder for annual renewal.
This new approach includes a quick annual survey for users who meet specific criteria. Completing this survey helps determine whether your job tasks put you at risk, ensuring your safety needs are up-to-date and compliant with regulations. For those eligible, the survey also provides guidance on the hepatitis B vaccine, helping you make informed health decisions and ensuring access to vital resources as your role evolves. By completing the survey, you’re taking an essential step in protecting your health and meeting regulatory standards.
If you have any questions regarding the new training program, reach out to the EHS Biosafety team. The new training program is set to launch in December 2024.
