Updated Formaldehyde Safety Training Requirements

February 16, 2017

A new online Formaldehyde Safety training course is available. This training is mandatory for employees working in Anatomy Labs.

For instructors, this course includes safety tips for students enrolled in anatomy courses -- please share the message you receive in this training with students as you see fit.

The major points to share with students include:

  • Formaldehyde is a sensitizer and can cause skin rashes
  • Formaldehyde is a carcinogen
  • Wear your PPE (gloves, safety glasses, and lab coat) to avoid skin contact.
